Motaze inaugurates a developmental asset of taxation workers in Ntoun

The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze on Saturday, 14 November 2020 inaugurated a new touristic complex of taxation workers under the banner of the National Mutual Assistance Fund for Taxation Personnel known by its French acronym, MUNDI. The event took place at Ntoun, a locality in the Mifo and Akono Division in the presence of some government Ministers and the Director-General of taxation in the person of Mopa Modeste Fatoing who doubles as the chairman of the Board of Directors of MUNDI. Talking to participants at the occasion, Mopa Modeste Fatoing expressed his satisfaction with taxation workers and highlighted that the complex is owned by workers whose intention is apolitical with a commitment that is gender inclusive. The Executive Director of MUNDI, Nkoum Ndoum Agbor Dorothy on her part, said that the complex is the fruit of the hard work and dedication of Taxation workers. The complex is built on some 12hectares of land in Ntoum around the Yaounde-Nsimaleng highway.

CLUB MUNDI

The complex contains facilities like a beautiful hotel designed with a huge parking space, a swimming pool, a sporting complex consisting; a football stadium, table tennis pitch, volleyball pitch, basketball field, and many other facilities. The hotel named CLUB MUNDI is a three-star hotel with some 56 beautifully looking hotel rooms and 4 VIP suites. It provides a restaurant with a bar for refreshment. The Mayor of Bikok, Ottou Christine in her speech at the inauguration ceremony, said the facility will go a long way in making Bikok a destination of culture and tourism as well as bring development to the 20000 inhabitants in the area.

The Minister of Finance who was present to cut the ribbon lauded the taxation workers for their commitment and reminded them that they have to mobilise about 2billion frs cfa in this country to finance the public service and developmental programs.“We cannot ask for much without giving much. If we want these personnelles to be efficient we much empower them” said Minister Louis Paul Motaze as he spoke to the press during the inauguration ceremony. Other Ministers who were present include; Bidoung Mpkwatt of Arts and Culture, Rene Emmanuel Sadi of Communication, Pr.Marie Therese Ondoa of Women’s Empowerment and Family, Bello Bouba of Tourism, Celestine Ketcha of Housing, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, of Public Works and few other government administrators. CLUB MUNDI and its sporting complex, will remain a gateway to tourism, development, and other aspects especially as its location is ideal for relaxation and an ideal place to have fun out of town.
